Several students of Mrs Humphrey have received scholarships to pursue their college degree in music, and some have gone even further to get a Masters and/or Doctorate while keeping a career in music.
This is Kendria in her days at Carnegie Mellon University, winning the title of Miss America's Miss Pennsylvania.
This is Karen with her own students posing after their Christmas recital. Karen attended and graduated Baylor University on scholarship, majoring in music.
This is Andrew. He earned a Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts from Manhattan School of Music. As an organist, Andrew has performed throughout much of the eastern United States, as well as in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, and in the Caribbean. Dr. Yeargin is currently Director of Music and Organist at the Church of the Holy Trinity on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, where he oversees a considerable music program. He is also Organist of Congregation Shir Ami in Greenwich, Connecticut, as well as on faculty at Union College in New Jersey teaching Music History and Art History.
And this is Gizelle. She started piano with Ms Marie at 4-1/2 years old and stuck with it all the way through high school. She went to Hampton University and is now a music teacher at a local elementary school. Gizelle has even been nominated as a finalist for the school system's teacher of the year!
